| These new geometric pieces document my continued shift towards essential elements. They reference both architectural form and our imperfect human desire to find order in the chaotic lives we construct for ourselves.
Some of my paintings find basis in universal themes from literature or lyrics. Many include childhood motifs. All are inspired by ironic contrasts in my immediate environment. I think they have some urgency because of it.
Inevitably, my work reminds me that inspiration and artistic practice are often at odds - Struggle is essential.
